2nd in Super Motard. Practice was useless because of the rain, so I didn't practice. I also forgot my transponder. Seems like everyone knew that story before I told them.

Very proud of my son, Jay Newton #314! Raced in the mini classes in F6 and F5, and got 3rd and 7th respectively. He was confused at the start of the F6race, and thought that it would be a wave start like every race last year. He did not even have his bike in gear when the flag dropped and was at the back of the pack, but put his head down and came back to a podium finish. He and his team mate got 1st in the F7 endurance. Great weekend of racing!!!

NO

My exhaust is having issues. The head pipe has loosened up to the point of causing a pretty bad exhaust leak. When the raw air is sucked into the exhaust, it backfires. That backfire blows the springs off of the exhaust and at that time it is just the exhaust coming straight out of the head. I'd run it, but I'm afraid I'd burn a valve or something major.

Beyond all of that, I know I'm going to be too busy to race. Trackdays for sure, but running a business, at the races, requires too much of my attention to get it done right.
