Rider Down - Honea Egypt Rd.

Well I read the paper this morning and saw a rider went down on the 90 degree corner right at Crown Oaks. 2005 Gray Busa. The Kat was a lil older, didnt know if he was a member. Doubt it by the way they say it went down. They smelled alcohol and they never located a helmet. WEAR A HELMET MAN! It saved my life, no doubt about it. helmetwrek

Its a nice road if you just Cruise it like the Speed Limit suggests. Nice Scenery....but then again we will most likely have some douche post up sayin hes done that road at 75mph+ and it was easy, cause thats how he rolls.
If the guy was drunk, deserved what he got

i live down the street from honea egypt
that road is nasty. it can be very fun under just perfect conditions, but i seem to get those conditions rarely, so i dont even bother. you have wet spots in the road, rocks, sand, intersections tossed into nice curves, and slow traffic.

i agree with the comment that the road can be fun at legal speeds

also, the last time i rode honea egypt was a scary one. i got impatient and passed a car right before a corner and almost landed my happy in a ditch.
screw that road. its nothing but temptation and .

And as we found out at night... not a good road in the dark since there arent any lights nor many reflectors

its a bad road. i work for the fd that covers that area. if youre coming from 2854, the stretch between leah and that curve are the worst. we call it the black hole. especially in those curves just before crown oaks, their are some deep gullies. messes people up. that curve is bad too, because just past the crown oaks entrance is the construction entrance, and there is always gravel in the road. be careful on that road. it kills

Because Arai is a much better grade helmet and offers better protection in a wreck.

So putting an ARAI sticker over the HJC brand name on the helmet will make it hold up better in a crash?
