Keep in mind that while the fiberglass fender may support your weight (or hers I presume) in time the fiberglass can start to become unsound, which could lead to sudden failure.
Not knowing more detail on how the fender is constructed makes it hard to say but the stakes are high. You should make sure it will support her even after a couple years.

Are the bars on the sides near the top or do they run under the upper surface of the fender?
Are they made into the glass or does the fender just sit on them?

You are just gonna have to decide for yourself but it sounds like the fender wasn't designed to support a person. Maybe it will, for a while, but then maybe it would fail.
We got no way of knowing.

the bars sit in the upper rolled corners of the fender i was told it would support a second rider but wanted to see if anyone on here had any experience may just go ahead and start molding a new one in steel this week just tryin not to do that cause dont have alot of time right now

also does anyone have an opinion on a seat looking between

the mustang Day tripper here

http://www.jpcycles.com/search/produ...=0&results=100

or the saddlemen here

http://www.jpcycles.com/search/produ...=0&results=100

I personally think the saddlemen would look better on my bike but the mustang looks to be more comfortable for the passenger

Sounds like they don't rely on being glassed in for strength. If the fender just sits on them and as long as they don't start to wear into the glass, it might be OK.

You are right. It's up to how you plan to use the bike. Long rides or, say, no further than Galveston?
She could probaly deal with the Saddleman for an hour or so, but if you are going to El Paso, she might start to hate your bike by Kerrville.

Well, many say, if you make it too comfortable she will want to ride all the time.
You have to decide if you want her to go with you every ride or just sometimes.
