As for the Busa questionI like them and I am as ghostly white as they come. Never like the stretched or chrome stuff, but I like cornering performance so meh.

now you are really being a racist douche nozzle.

i'm black, i'll buy a BUSA if i could afford one cos its a bad bike but i bet my other source of transportation is anything but what you describe.

anyways, stereotypes are for the most part true. black dudes do love Busas.

its a cultural thing. black males for the most part have very high egos with an "alpha male mentality"

since we cant go around beating our chests like apes, we show it buy going all out on our material purchases.

in some cases, it gets really extreme as with everything in life like having a 1k monthly car loan and a 500 monthly house rent.

remember, its a stereotype so it happens more times than average.

hard to argue with your racist (as has been seen in other threads) but I'll make a couple points.

The busa is a comfortable bike that crunches miles effortlessly.

It has tremendous torque. High-revving with HP to match.

Endless aftermarket.

Silky smooth power delivery.

Potential for massive power upgrades.

Can easily be tailored for many different types of riders: drag strip (long time king), sport-tourer, road-track beast, top speed shoot-out bike, the list goes on and on.

Bullet proof motor.

Great looking (subjective, yes)

very stable in the corners

just as comfy at high speed as at low speed

very nimble for a bike it's size.

and all this for less than $12K

you can get a used one in good condition for less than half that.

There's a reason it was SportRider and Motorcyclist's Bike of the year when it debuted.

Other than being comfortable, I didn't see anything in there that couldn't also describe a gixxer 1k. Just saying.

Hide from my avatar? I cut my hair. I'm not blonde anymore. There's no hiding.

slap some risers and adjustable rear-sets on on GSXR1000 and you got comfort!

That's the whole point. The gixxer 1K is a dedicated race bike. Try riding it for 7-8 hours and tell me how you feel. A good rider on a busa could run laps around your average gsx-r1k rider all day and then take a tour to Montana.

The gixxer's a race bike w/ lights. The busa is not quite as capable on the track - but every bit as capable on the street and can do SO many things the 1000 can't.

Oh, and I would love a r-1000. My brother has one and it's a ****in blast to ride - way more hooligan. But if I could only have one it would be busa all the way

but you'd need a lot of motor work to get that torque that comes on like an electric train.

lol, no. read the article, I even want to say it was the 2000 busa that was boty - and that version was limited to 186. They touted it's all-around bad-assedness as the reason for it being at the top that year.

This is coming from my naive . I see more Black riders at the drag strip than the road course. So maybe thats why the Busa is the chosen bike??? Its one of the best bikes for their riding style???

2001 was when they became restricted. It is still a great all around bike, not to everyones taste but nonetheless a great bike.

You can ride it to the dragstrip, race it all day, load up the little woman and give the SS guy's fits on the way home.

Honestly its the american way to get the biggest fastest baddest on the block, not just a black thing. If you got it flaunt it, Why get loud exhaust, Whey get that big block, why get the fastest production bike?

Just so happens alot of black dudes like sportbikes like bussa because somebody they hand out with had one and was bragging and looking good, so why not look good too.

but im a bussa hater i drink Saki!!!!
