I love the 1125R. I haven't had an i-4, just three thumpers and three v-twins, so i may not be able to compare it exactly to the bikes. I've had the other two Buells, the XB9 and XB12, and taken them to the track. In comparison, the 1125R is much smoother and refined, very predictable. The power curve is very straight and easy to get used to, no sputtering along the way except at VERY low rpm (less than 3k) and even that is better than some bikes I've had. The handling is great, no squirrly situations yet. It's easy to adjust preload, compression, and rebound. The build quality and materials quality seem to be a slight step up from the other XB's.

The electronics are nifty, much more involved than other bikes I've had. Some quirks though, it seems my "fuel" light comes on every time i start the bike even if it's full, but goes off again after a mile or two. The headlights are way better than all the other bikes I've had, except for the 2007 KLR650; those headlights were awesome.

I really like the belt drive vs. the chain. Sure I would have to probably convert if I was going to crank up the hp, but I love the NO maintenance and no noise. In about 30k miles on Buells, I've only had one belt break and that's because I rode on it for 3 months after a rock damaged it, my own fault for not taking care of it.

Fuel mileage is a little lower than I'd like, but I can't complain since it can make 140hp. I get about 40 hwy and 33 city. My last XB's got about 55/48, but they only had like 90-97hp.

Werd.

I was dead tired from sleep deprivation and went right home and crashed. I wanted to actually go to Rookies but the body say no way.
