when i was in 5th grade my buddy taught me how to ride his ttr-90.

MotoGP and AMA Daytona SportBike/Super Sport gave me a purpose for my love of motorcycles.

Grew up around them, my mom has pictures of me in diapers sitting next to my dad watching him build race motors for his suzuki. In 2nd grade he bought me a Honda 50r that was orange and blue with the giant tires. I would ride it every chance I could. Also my dad would drop me off and ic me up from school on the bike and every time he would leave he would pop a wheelie and ride off like that till we couldnt see him anymore. All the kids around thought he was the coolest dad around and that pretty much when I said I want to be like him.

Md old man and uncle had bikes when I was a tyke... used to take us on rides around the pond/pasture. One of the last was a water buffaloe... and I'm not all that picky on the 'type' bike, it's just being able to ride. :-)

I had always wanted a motorcycle. I thought I wanted a big Harley.

Then I test rode the Versys and I could not part with it.

About 15 years ago my sisters boyfriend used to ride something like a gs500,,when I saw that thing sitting on the sidewalk in front of our house, I knew I had to have one (suzuki)...then a few years later my dad found a '72 husqavarna 125cc dirtbike at a yard-sale for 50 bucks and told me if I could get it running I could have it. So I cleaned the carbs, changed the plug and it was good to go..yeah that thing was a dinosaur, but I've had the itch ever-since. Now, with the way gas prices are getting,,,who can afford not to get one???

I was two or three, and I was outside with my brothers. pops came home on his (lol...LOL...HAHAHAHAWHAHWHAHA) "HARLEY DAVIDSON" AJM 250 cc streetbike. I said "my-go%o!" and put my hands on the scorching exhaust.

(as the moms would say) "you had motorcycles burned into your soul, eversince)

houston traffic traffic is what inspired me to ride how i do today.

i hate MH on my phone... gets weird. was to be "my-go-go" (and my phone wont let me edit it)

was set it off as a reality, was during my freshman year of highschool, during 87, or so.

went on a road trip, cars and thier boring magazines...well bored me. looked at some gaming stuff, but WOW! saw the motorcyclist issue of the TOKYO MOTOR SHOW. That was where I laid my eyes on suzuki's RUSTYFALCO, the NUDA, yamahas MORPHO/MORPHO II, and a slew of technotrickery.....after seeing all that stuff, i saved up and got my FIRST BIKE!!!

laaawwlllzz. a yamaha DT 50 for school.

I grew up with dirt bikes, some of my friend had street bikes but I never got one because their were just too many laws to obey on the street! I could ride my dirt bikes freely. I got rid of my bikes to get in to skydiving did that for 10 years and now gave up my skydiving rig to get in to sport biking. I just love the freedom of the ride!

Originally I just got into it because I couldn't afford a car. Had a cruiser and then an old honda sportbike. Then I started making a little money so I got a nice ride and started restoring vintage bikes to cruise on. Then I slipped a disc in my back and could no longer skate everyday and I started making even more money so to fill this void left by skateboarding I got into fast sportbikes. And there you have it.

My dad..

As a wee lil' kid i'd always take my toy dirt bike everywhere making the 2 stroke sounds the best i could... "RING DING DING DING DING". On long trips in the car i'd put the bike up to the side window and imagine me riding rooftops, & freeway ramps to where ever we were headed. At about 9 yrs old I told my dad i wanted dirtbike, And i'll never forget what he said; "If you really want one, then some day son, you will have one". At the time I was disappointed cause i knew that meant "I'm not buying you a dirtbike little guy" or "your mom will kill me", but he was right.

Years later my intersest had slipped a little, & my dad had gone through a handful of cruiser bikes, but he was starting to get into dualsport riding, which in turn relit my fire for a dirtbike.

As a 23 year old, streetbikes where becoming quite interesting too, so i knew on my budget, i had to find the best of both worlds...

SUPERMOTO...FTW

Funny. I've only been riding for a year, but i can't imagine it any other way now.

I still havent figured out why I ever went and bought a sport bike (guess i thought they were pretty ). Took msf, and then took off to corpus and bought my 05' RR.

Not to long after that, you introduced me to my Mr. Mark (thank you ). Only a few short months later- I ate it heading out to fayetteville; between the wreck and Marks encouragement (but mostly Mark).... I decided to start Track days. End of story.

(I wonder if he even knows today how much he influenced that decision )
