Exclamation PLEASE HELP WITH STARTER PROBLEM!!!!!!!!

Hi guys what up I have a 2001 Suzuki SV650 that won't start.I was riding in my neighborhood and hit the switch to turn off the bike while it was still rolling, when I tried to turn it on again the starter just rotated or turned (don't know the correct term) but the bike didn't want to start.
I am only the second owner and the bike currently has only 3700 miles so its not in bad condition to begin with. One guy told me that it might be the spark plugs someone else said that its the starter can I fix this problem myself or do I need to take it to a mechanic? Any help is greatly appreciated
.

Well let's see I have titled the bike but not worse than a normal turn you would take.........
Oh and no the bike has never been dropped, I tried raising the choke to see if it was just cold but the starter just keeps goign around.

I wouldn't spray starter fluid in an SV650.
A couple of quick questions to cover the basics:
Do you have gas in the tank?
If so, pull the seat and the front tank bolts and lift it back on it's hinge. There should be 2 lines going to the tanks petcock; 1 vacuum and 1 fuel.
Are they both on / not crimped?
Are the carbs all the way in the boots? I've seen SV650's backfire hard enough through the carbs to blow one or both out of the boots.
If everything else checks fine I'd pull the plugs.
The front is somewhat of a pain because of the radiator, just take your time so you don't damage the fins.
Make sure the plug caps are tight on the wires while you're there. If you do asll that and it still won't start, bring it by and we can diagnose it for you.
Hope this helps!

Patrick

Most people don't just "mist" it. They spray it like they're tring to kill a bug with insecticide. I've seen everything from the aforementioned carbs blown out of the boots to a bent rod.

i work with a guy like that. he loves the stuff even uses it to clean parts when he's too lazy to get brake clean or go to the parts washer. even cleans his hands with it.
