MY TRIP TO LA GRANGE

Well Last night me and my friend I got my zx14 loaded on the trailer and strapped down to go to BADZX14-rob in la grange.

We woke up this morning at 5am I told my friend to drive the truck and I told him I was going to ride the cuiser behind him. He said I was nuts. It was freakn cold.

So I put on my tourmaster gear and my new 3 layer thermo gloves and off we go from friendswood to la grange.

I gave him the address to put on the gps in the truck and I rode behind him.

We stopped at a truckstop in sealy had breakfast then as soon as we got to 71 my friend decides to haul @$$. I signaled him to slow the fk down because Im fkn freezing. Well he ends up losing me and he has the paper with the address but he forgot his phone back at my house.

So I get to la Grange and I pull of and call Rob. Rob came to the gas station and leads me to his place. about 5 min later my friend pulls up. I save the @ss chewn for later because I want to talk to rob.

Anyhow Rob knows his sht on zx14s.While takin things apart He knew every size socket he would need for each individual screw without having to look around for them. Sorry Rob if I put you on the spot but I never seen anyone go through the 14 and have so much knowledge about it. You really are the final authority on the ZX14. Thanks for the help Rob

After all that me and my friend left to the gas station to fill up and I let him have it. Details of the azz chewing to long to type. Point is never leave a man behind.

Finally, we got back home My knuckles are from near frostbite. every time I make a fist blood seeps out of my knuckles.

Sometimes I amaze myself, riding in cold weather when i could have just rode in the truck with the heat and stereo. What is wrong with me. I guess your never too old to keep trying to prove to yourself that you can do the stupid, impossible, impractical and craziest things.

AND IM SPENT....

i was thinking about makeing the trip to see johnny in round rock , for the dyno tune , on the busa, just ride up but not sure i want to freeezzzzzz my nuts and washers off you know ! plus it may rain a bit and that would make it so much worse !

any how on the busa vs 14 ugly issue , well it the pot calling the kettle black, they are not the best looking bikes but at lease my busa dont have the old ferrari testarossa vents !

I wouldn't stretch my bike but i do think that the 14 looks better stretched than a busa.

Anyhow Im a lookn for a zx14 motor. Keep your eyes open and let me know if anyone see's one. Im ready to buy now.

Thanks Rob for the heads up Ill have the motor as soon as I find a good one to buy. I only saw three on ebay but the sellers have bad reviews and the motors have some damage. I don't want to pay $2,400 for a motor thats broke or missin stuff.

And now im off to skadaddle on over to whataburger
