Whats up Riders...

...My name is Kelly and I ride a Silver '06 600RR. Im from Las Vegas, born and raised in SinCity. But there is a very good chance me and my wife are moving to the Galveston Bay area very soon. We're actually flying out to texas this weekend to look at some house that are up for sell. So I thought Id post up on this site because I look forward to riding in all new places like the greater Houston area, and also make some more new friends to ride with.

Nice website btw, and from this site it seems Houston has a good sportbike scene.

Couple of questions if anyone wouldn't mind.
1) Hows the police on bike mods? I've got Intergrated signals, competition undertail plate bracket, and flush mounted front signals.

2) Sportbike theft, is it pretty HIGH like in Las Vegas? The house we'll be buying will have a garage, and Im not one to leave my bike in bad places.

Anyways look forward to meeting up and getting in on some ride when we move to texas.

BEWARE OF GALVESTON... and hurricane seasons.

Theft is pretty common in Houston, I don't know about galveston. Hope to see you ridin' around though, and welcome to the site.

Your mods sound pretty basic, so you should be safe! Theft can be bad, but usually only in high crime areas.

Nice bike! Can't do much better than the RR. I love mine!

Welcome!!!

Thanks for the welcomes, and Yes Houston is a GO! Well more like the Kema area. We'll be moving there in about 10 months. My wife is a school teacher and is under contract with a privite school for this next year. So during that time we got a lot of work to do, home improvement, sell house, and all the other things involved with moving...But time flys, the next 10 month will come and go in like no time.

Anyways cool site, I'll be sure to be any an active member on this site, even tho for the next 10 months Ill only be an E-rider here. But look forward to ride there in Houston soon. And Im also playing with the Idea of riding my RR to Kema when we move. Sounds like a great ride, plus I dont like the idea of packing up my bike with the rest of our stuff. Rather fly back and get it on my own.

Hey Im gonna be back in texas for a week during the 4th of July. Does anyone no of any places to rents motorcycles??? Sportbikes if avaliable, but really would ride anything just to have a bike to see the sites around Houston / Galveston area.
