I'm doing actually pretty well I will be getting out of the hospital on Friday or Saturday. I have 2 more rounds of chemo to go threw but that will be done as an out patient deal with 2 week intervals inbetween each round. The only problem I had was the MAJOR allergic reaction to the first med in my chemo treatmean but the other went fine.

Now alls I'm doing is finishing up the steriods they give you to boost your body and mind back up and ill be out of here. I kinda afraid of what and when some of the effects are going to be and when the show up. I was told 10-15 days after I started the chemo I should be feeling pretty bad but I'm good so far.

I deff would like to have a bbq or something but unfortunatly they told me I pretty much need to be quarentied because I have a pretty low imune system in the 1st place and if someone was to come over and I get sick, a simple cold could kill me. Ill just have to wait for 7-8 weeks and then meet any and all for a great ride and some great food.

Until next time y'all stay safe and put in a few extra miles for me out there.

a nurse just gave me a good ideal.

i have had to recieve 10 units of blood in the in the last 4 months and everyone know hospitals can always use more blood/ so could i.

if anyone was thinking of donating blood here soon and you already do not have a specific person you are donating to, i would greatly appreciate if you tell them you would like to donate in the name of ''SCOTT MITCHELL'' which is me.

i am still awaiting the results of my bone marrow test to see if the cancer has spread to my bones/ keep youre fingers crossed it hasnt. but what this will do is insure that anytime in the near future when i get blood i wont be turned down.

even if we are not the same blood type (im O negative) the will give me credits towards my name to insure i will keep on keeping on, if you know what i mean.

i would love to have a bbq like i said but due to my sensitive state i cannot. so if anyone could do this for my family and i would greatly appreciate it more than you will ever know. i will not recive any pay or anything of that nature just to be clear, just the points toward my name if you tell them the donation if for "SCOTT MITCHELL".

THANK ALL OF YOU!!!! for all the continued support and i will be back out there in no time, atleast thats the game plan.

ADvice from my mother who went through it...

Eat a big, healthy meal before chemo treatment. She said it helps you to keep up your strength and fight through it all.
Keep kickin ..

Awesome prayer bro!

1sickgixxer, I think you need to change your screen name to 1fightingixxer!! Keep fighting and staying positive! With chemo, it is different with each person. My dad had cancer and with his treatment, he kept all of his hair but had major hot/cold sensitivity. He also had bad sores in his nose and mouth (which they prescribed medicine that helped). I will continue praying for you and your family. Just know that can do anything!

You know, has a plan for you and your life. Sometime we face situations that seem impossible. When you let go of a battle that you know is too big for you and allow to have the reigns. There is nothing more to fear. is much much bigger than anything we will ever face. He made you and He truly cares for you. All He wants is our trust in Him. So man you are in good hands.
My Prayers are with you and I hope to get to ride with you soon.

I think I am cured, but still have 4 more chemo sessions to improve my odds. I am truly blessed!

We are so confident, we bought a new motorhome 3 weeks ago and just got back from Florida for this weeks chemo. Then off to Austin to visit a friend and camp at McKinney Falls State Park. New motorhome has a 10X8 foot garage, so the K1200LT and bicycles are going.

Has everyone here over age 50 had their colonoscopy? If I had waited much longer, I would not be typing this. If I had waited for any symptoms, it would have been too late...
Glad to hear youre doing better!!!!
