It looks like they tried to make an all weather suit that looks more like something you could take out onto the track.

I kind of liked it in an industrial sort of way, but it's just not clean looking. I disagree about all Icon being . I have an Icon Motorhead that I love, but I only paid $300 also.

BTW.... That jacket should be worn by SPAWN!

Many people question the crashworthyness of Icon gear. Alot of their stuff looks and fits great though.
Since this thread is all about opinion, I will throw this out...
You want style, protection and American quality?
Check out Vanson. I have 2 of their jackets, 1 for nearly 10 years and that is some nice stuff!
They aint cheap, but alot of the gear out there is not much less in price but waay inferior in quality!

You sir are correct It's a hybrid jacket...mixture of leather and texgore. We have no use for it here in TX but I am sure the folks in colder/wetter regions appreciate the product

If you give one of those creepy goth kids that make their own clothes a bedazzler and a leather jacket this is what you would get.

It's actually a great idea: Breathability close to a mesh jacket, 100% waterproof without need of a liner, and the abrasion resistance of leather. They just forgot to look at two small details--1st; there aren't that many sport bike riders who do the serious touring this jacket is intended to endure, and 2nd; if there IS a sport bike rider doing this kind of touring it's because he can't afford a Goldwing to do his touring on--and if he can't afford the Goldwing, he sure can't afford this!

and like 23yaya23 said, way heavier too!

on a flipside, there's always this option: Joe Rocket Nano Jacket (shameless plug!) does the same thing using textiles and nano-tech fabrics and has a higher abrasion resistance than 90% of the leather on the street today. $499.
