Unhappy Missing/Stolen CBR600 F3

Yup, I think they got me. Walked out this morning to the car and see my bike's not next to it. Walked around my building, patio, etc.. to see if I'd parked it somewhere else and forgot about it and it's still not to be found. I just got the thing running again last weekend, too. I had the bars locked, but no other form of security. The rotor lock I was using was lost somewhere on Fondren when I hit a bump and my seat nearly came out from under me.

I only have liability, no theft or full coverage, which sucks too. I got the insurance a few months ago and the bike's not been running and stuck on the patio for most of that time, so I didn't figure I'd need it.

Here's my original sale thread with pictures: http://www.motohouston.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=123545

If any of you guys could keep a look out for it, or for parts that may have come off of it, I'd appreciate it Besides the oem F3 parts, it has a F4i gauge cluster, Yoshimura full system header/exhaust, and a Factory Pro jet kit with 142 jets.

Thanks

Got a call back from an officer/investigator to get some more info from me. Said it wasn't in the wrecker/tow database, so it wasn't towed(legally). It's paid for, and was parked in my assigned spot, so no one would have a (good)reason to touch it.

I live in an apartment complex near Westheimer and Hillcroft and it was parked less than 10 feet from my place, in perfect view of the main window. I wish I would've taken more precautions, but I never stopped to think someone would take it the first day it's been out in months.

Dont post up any more updates since the theives are likely watching MH and this thread.

Everybike I've purchased since the stolen one I engrave my initials and birthdate on the engine casing and frame in a nonconspicuous spot but still in view so I can see and check it w a full set of fairings on the bike

exactly.

its a attitude but I've grown tired of reading these "my bike was stolen from my apt complex" threads, along with "no I don't have full coverage or theft ins"

when will people learn?! I hate to read that u got robbed bro, but u might as well of left the keys in it

Sucks to hear of your loss but it doesn't matter how much precaution you can take. If the thieving POS want something, they'll find a way to get it. Apartments are a thieves paradise.
