Super Troopers!!!

Well on route to taking my bike to Patrick, I jump on the freeway (59 @ Buffalo Spwy) and start riding from side to side within my lane and at a pretty hard lean too. So as I do this - oh by the way I am actually only on the ramp at this point I didn't even make it to the freeway - I see the flashing lights behind me but what really scared me was the car color - BLACK AND WHITE!!! I was just devastated, State Troopers - 2 of them!!!

Anyway they get out "what were you doing?" And I pulled the "warming up my tires sir" At this point one of the Troops walks behind his car where my girlfriend had pulled up to tell her to move up front. Comes back to interupt my very lame excuse of how a tire expands and gets sticky when hot - LIKE A ****ING STATE TROOPER WOULDN'T KNOW THIS!!! I AM DESCRIBING IT SHOWING HIM MY REAR TIRE - WHAT AN I AM - But it gets better! He amazingly asks - r u from Edinburgh? Now no offence but for an American to even guess the right country I am from is impressive but to pick the city as cars fly by at 70mph is impressive. He takes my DL and trooper 2 asks for ins. Trooper 1 then asks "what r u doing over here?" And I am like - "well I just left a mate's house who I am staying with Bla Bla Bla " I proceed to tell him I am recently seperated, moving back to my loft next week etc etc. Trooper barely acknowledges me to then say alright you are getting a warning only!!! WHAT???!!! When does a trooper only give a warning??? So as my heart rate works back to normal I get back on the road when about 1/2 a mile down I think to myself WTF. Why does this guy give 2 about my living situation - he was asking why am I in Houston. And at that point what do you do but just hang your head in shame - what a muppet I was. But fare play to the Troops - they really were Super Troopers!!!:notworthy

Hahahaha......Thats really a funny story, mate.
They ask the weirdest questions sometimes.
Prolly just fishing for any irregularities in your story.
Thats what law enforcement is good at.

Hey Jamie, you weren't a muppet. Maybe he was a control freak redneck and wanted to see if you were going to run or give him a hard time. Sometimes you just gotta play along.

I got let go for obsecured license plate, I guess it's a waste of his time since it's a "fix it" ticket.

awh, your leaving greenway already. :(

That is some good luck with the troopers.

RACER X: I though weaving back and forth DOES warm up your tires. Isn't that why indy cars do that while going slow from a yellow flag?

cars are diff. then bikes, mostly it to knock the "marbles" off the tires. a mag did a test a while back, the best way to warm up bike tires is to get some speed and brake hard, and do that a few times.........but it doesn't look as cool as weaving back and forth......lol

What's the name of the bar - and where in the is Europa? My old owners of Grasshopper still own that and I NEVER even went.
