Tires

This is probably a dumb or difficult to answer question but I ride an 03 ZX9-R and want to know what tires would be good to put on after I burn my current ones off. I ride to work everyday (at least for now) and like to hammer at speed but I don't do stunts. Any suggestions on brands, specific tires, places to buy them would be appreciated.

YATT? "Yet another tire thread?"

Just buy some chiny black round ones and be done with it.

Live downtown right next to the cloverleaf on memorial and waugh but work in Pasadena. Left side of my tires look brand spanking new, however, the right half are toast cause I keep burning around the cloverleaf. This isn't a rush job I was just thinking it might be worth figuring out what I need in advance and if I saw a good deal to buy and store em.

i work at a shop and i run Metzelers so to the guy that said he doesnt get milege out of them you must have got an outdated tire because i love mine if you just want hi speed and a long lasting tire try and get a metzeler 880 marathon its origanly designed for a sport cruiser but its has a nice thread pattern that doesnt affect the ride and you get tones of life out of them the only problem is they dont come in alot of sportbike sizes

i'm betting metz M1's.........yes they wear very quickly.

and i'm betting TXVrod is running a cruiser metz vs a sport bike metz, hence the long wear vs short wear.

and the mezt Z6s if you go w/ metz.

well, the 880 is no way comprable to an M1 apples/oranges.

you might prefix your text w/ "on my V-rod" cuz it's a total diff animal then sportbikes. and their assoc. equipment.
