think of it this way, would you never visit new york city just because of the risk that terrorists might attack? No. Bad things happen, but you can't live your life always worried about other people. Do everything you can to take precaution, the rest is in gods hands. Maybe you should start off on a smaller bike like a 600 until you get comfortable again, but don't give up. Do what you love and love what you do.

It just takes time to break the subconcious fears.

i feel you

Bro I feel your pain, I was in a car accident, and it left me in the hospital for 2 weeks and without the ability to drive for about 1 month. The reason I was scared, I thought that someone would pull out in front of me and cause the same accident all over again.
But I got over it and Iím sure you will too.

Well thats a demon you will have to face- eyeball to eyeball.
Dont rush into it until your ready physically and mentally. Its gonna be tough. Your heart will be beating fast and you will be sweating hard. Your legs will feel like rubber bands..Its gonna be like your 1st time with a woman.. Are you still in? hehehehe

All BS aside, you can overcome your anxiety by taking geting back in the saddle and just riding.. I think its still a little too soon but when you do feel ready you will know its time. just concentrate on healing completely first..

Learn from your mistakes and move on or decide not to ride. Hesitation is always a killer in every walk of life.

when you wreck, you either know your getting back on or your scared of it,
fear of it will get you dead quickly, but theres no shame in it if you dont wanna get back on....

if you want back on then grab the bull by the horns, youll know the second you sit on it if you want to continue or not,, its a simple as that..hope it makes sense..ive had two wicked bad wrecks, there was never a doubt in my mind, just a question of how i was going to do it..with 1 arm and all

Start out slow, stick to less busier streets and work up your confidence. Theres no rush. Getting back on a bike doesnt mean you have to put your self in the same situation thet may scare you. Just take what you can learn out of your experience and start over. As far as whatcc bike you should get should be up to you and what you're comfortable on. Whether you ride a 600 or a 1000cc doesnt matter bc both are just a dangarous as you want them to be. i say get a 1000cc depending on your skill and ride it slow, take it easy and learn the bike, take back roads and learn to trust your bike. I also recomend taking a riding class. If you have takin the amature class then take a more advanced class which will teach you alot more then most people think they know about how to cope with situations and make riding alot less streeful.

If I hadn't been paralyzed in my accident, I would have been on a bike again as soon as I could. I guess it hits people differently or it just shows how passionate I am for motorcycling.
