HJC FS-15 helmet opinions, reviews here.

I came across a brand new FS-15 in the Elbowz II livery, cheap, and I'd like to hear from those that have the same model. Anyone?

Don't care about how loud it is, I care more about fit and comfort.

Not sure how it compares to the CL-SP I have, but I really dont like the helmet. It was a stupid buy (looks). A LOT of air comes around the shield, it's too heavy, and the shield mechanism needs to be ripped apart and reassembled every few months (sticks, wont open).

I myself have the CL-15 and love it. Great fit and not that much noise. I'm not having any issues with the wind coming through the shield area.
I believe the only difference between the CL and FS is just the designs painted on them. Okay, the only difference is the fog shield and vents on the back. The shape is still close.

My helment: http://www.motosport.com/motorcycle/...talogId=107788

FS-15: http://www.motosport.com/motorcycle/...talogId=116520

Did you get it cheaper than the $224.00 listed at MotoSport.com?

I've had a standard -15 and the current carbon model. I like mine just fine.

Fit is a good question. All the different MFG fit a little different. So if you haven't tried an HJC yet, do so before ya buy!

I've got an FS-15 carbon that I just had custom painted or whatever. I'm picking it up this weekend, if you like you're more than welcome to check it out and person and try it on and whatnot - I haven't worn it other than a test fit. It fits AMAZING, and seems like it'll be a lot quieter on the track than my Arai. It's a M. Shoot me a PM if you want to try it on in person.

Or just go to Cycle Gear, you lazy

oh, FWIW I paid a LOT less than 107 shipped for it, BNIB

I've had 3 hjc helmets (can't remember the model numbers off the top of my head) all of which were the best bang for the buck in my opinion. I've tried other brands, but hjc's seem to fit my round shaped head much better than shoei, scorpions and kbc's. Most others are too narrow for me.

My wife really liked hers....until she tried on the Shoei RF 1000 (selling it on craigslist).

I wore it a few times and the visor is great and very functional. I would highly recommend to anyone that wants a good helmet with cool bells and whistles for a reasonable price.
