Did you use a TL radiator??? Never seen an SV with a curvy radiator... How do you like the forks??? I finally got mine adjusted to a sweet spot but it took forever... now I need to tighten up the rear shock ... it's not dampened enough (it's a zx-14 oem)...

If you make it out west, gimme a shout... I'd like to get a look at the handi work.

Johnny

BTW... 5 minutes with a wire wheel will clean up your header so it's nice and shiney again... I have to do mine about every 2 to 3 weeks to keep the corrosion off of it. These are the lovely facts they leave out when you're buying a bike at the dealership... LOL

The radiator is custom curled - not from the factory, either. truthfully, I'm too cheap to buy a new one, so that one is wrecked.

Nope- the Kanatuna crashes well - no damage save rash. Plus, he low sided the bike - laid it down very gently in the grass.

I'm a total dumbass... I just figured out why you guys have "team weenie" on your sigs... Gawd I'm slow... LOL

Good to hear the bike is alive... Hope he feels better soon... PJ says I am obligated to go on the next run or she will disown me as a friend... LOL I'll keep my eyes peeled and make time for the next "noob/slow-poke ride".

Johnny

PS... anytime you wanna swap SV ideas, shoot me a PM... I've been playing with mine since last November... not much on it stock anymore except the engine internals.. and I think I'm jamming cams and a high compr. kit in it this winter...
I'm an engineer... so I can't ever leave "good enough" alone.
Oh well... at least it's fun...

All that stuff changed... but somehow you managed to NOT break the shifter or brake pedal !?!?!?!? That's the first thing that went on mine... LOL I got hit by a drunk driver last november (a week after I bought it) and the first thing that snapped was my brake pedal... stuck a collapsable GSX-R pedal on it... get the 06 model ... you'll have to modify it, but 20 minutes with a grinder and a new bushing and it fits great and has an extra inch of length so it requires less effort to work the rear brakes. Very Nice...

It's team Weenie, because Weenie is perma-banned.

I'm a geochemist (student), but that has nothing to do with the bike. I just like it to be one-of-a-kind.

I saw your SV thread - pretty sure I posted in there. I love my SV, and I love that it's streetfighter!

Yes, I did have to replace all the levers. I don't really used the rear brake too much - unless I'm stopping, so I don't notice the effort required.

Just paint - not powder coat. Tony Ta (Houseofpain on MH) did all my paint.
