It is, indeed, the case. I have waited for him to get some money together and it's been too long, already! I can't wait anymore. I'm glad that it's going to be better than before, though. I'm thinking I have about two weeks before it's ridable, then another bit before it's repainted. I love my bike!

Does it bolt right up or do modifications have to be made? Or should I ask your mechanic?

Oh- I meant to answer that! Sorry- it bolts right up. No problems/mods. And, yes, it's the GSXR 1k front end.

Well get the thing built so you can show it off. I wanna see it. Will you have to use your front rim or the 1000 rim?

Heart beat steady at 70.
Blood pressure holding at 120 over 80.
Excessive bleeding stopped after a quart of 15w40 negative.

Time for a sammich break.

JonEric: The forks do bolt right up but will need some mods to hold lights and instruments. And yes we're using the 1000 wheel.

The stems are the same? I had to press out and reuse the Bandit stem on mine when I swapped.

The 2nd Gen SV bolts right up with the GSXR steering stem and even uses the same bearings.

It's with the 1st Gen SVs that you will have issues. I just did the GSXR front end swap on my 1st Gen and you have to take out the top race and replace it with one made specifically for the mod ... still pretty straight forward but not as simple as doing it with the 2nd Gen SV.

There's a lot of debate regarding price-v-performance of doing the swap v replacing the OEM internals .... but you just can't deny how cool the front end looks with the USD GSXR forks ... plus you end up with bigger rotors and radial calipers.

Gots it. Now I could use some clip ons to be able to mount it. Anyone have any laying around? Bueller, Bueller?
