Ed Brandon

I got drenched on the way home today. Took me 2 hrs to wash the bike & clean the chain. Thanks Ed (A.K.A. 'Mr. 10% chance of rain').

I should've listened to that dog on channel 2!

Ed Brandon was the dude that got caught molesting little boys years ago. Blew me away how he kept his job and the local media let it die real quick.
Most are to young to remember or know about it, but its true.
His weather mind must be clouded with little boy .

I 'member that too. The media is a huge problem in the US, but you won't hear too much about that, cuz um.. they won't bash themselves.

My ex-girlfriend had a picture of her and some friends with Dave Ward - drunk at a bar. His eyes were all red. This was like 1991.

Science lesson for the day. 10% chance of rain means that ever since weather was recorded, and under the current conditions compared to history it rained 10% of the time, under the conditions, in the veiwing area which is 1,000's of square miles. Not the small area which you are in.

Yes, it meant that 10% of the forcasted area will get rain. I'll bet that more than 10% got rain though. More like 30%.

No, 10% chance for the whole area not 10% of the area.

Looks like we could both be right ...

from http://www.utexas.edu/depts/grg/kimm...forecasts.html

"Here are two examples giving the same result:
(1) If the forecaster was 80% certain that rain would develop but only expected to cover 50% of the forecast area, then the forecast would read "a 40% chance of rain" for any given location.
(2) If the forecaster expected a widespread area of precipitation with 100% coverage to approach, but he/she was only 40% certain that it would reach the forecast area, this would, as well, result in a "40% chance of rain" at any given location in the forecast area. "
