I said I would, Joe, but it looks like I might have lied. I have all kinds of schedule conflicts.

But good luck to you, my friend. Grab another win!

Why not use that SMR450 with grooved slicks?

the entry fee is 550. right now, and going up to 700 next month, but if u call and talk to andrea with a sob story you may be able to get in for 400....last months fee. u would have to do it immediatley to have a shot at it

I think they have paved most of the road now. I know the top portion is now paved. I was just there over Christmas.

i was told they added about a mile of pavement at the top since last year, so it should be around 50/50 or 60/40 pavement/dirt.
linz u should really try to make it happen, i GUARANTEE you wont regret it. but u will if u dont.

450 is 18" wheels or bigger....stock, or 19" dirttrackers
supermoto is 17" wheels and smaller (16.5)
the 550 would be in the 750 class. that bike has set the fastest times the last 2 years with davey durell on it. that would be a great bike if u could score one.
like i said before "any" bike would be good your first year....BIG learning curve. get feet wet, and come back a bit more serious/educated.

not 100%

i called again today and no answer but i left a message.
i'm still working on getting some help to go.
that means my lovely racewife Elizabeth, friends, family, etc.
but i have a 450 Honda lined up.. i could see where an injected bike would be sweeter.
, that entry fee is an asskicker.
and i think my homie rusty is triyng to go too. he's got a 550 Aprilia.
if i can swing it on the Honda, I'm gonna try to do 19" wheels.
maybe the racegods will send down some sunny money.

stock wheels would be fine for first year.
u may know someone with a set of 17s or 19s to borrow for the week?
entry does sound high...but u get 3 days, around 9 hrs. of practice and race + a pass to get on the mountain (after practice) all week to ride up down, up down as much as u want, so when u consider that its not so bad.
my bike is carburated so i can get u real close with jetting, and gearing before u get there.
hope u both can make it!

man, i'm almost there

joe, she called me back today and sent me all the forms.
and she said that since i called on sunday, i could get in for 400 if i get it done in the next few days.
and my buddy rusty is trying to get in too.
he has 14 regional jet-ski titles, 5 national jet-ski titles, and four top-five world jet-ski titles but andrea said he still may not be able to get it cuz he has limited two-wheel racing experience. but he'll do well if he can race.
but thanks for hooking us up with her. she was really cool.
but i'll get signed up in the next two days.
thanks again and i'll take all the help i can get from ya.
