I had to go to reserve once when I just got the bike to know how much traveling the tank can go. 200mi is my limit then I need to go reserve and look for a gas station.

Now I never go 10mi close to 200mi.

I'm not sure how many miles i get out of my bike once the light came on. my average mpg reads 42.3mpg. but that's riding it ruff, not just cruising.

Bean:
I tried a push start after i refilled some gas but it was a no go. just touched it with the jumper cables and it started. i took a pic of the people that helped me, and thanked them with a 6pack of beer each.

I've run empty once on Westheimer, but was able to coast it into a Randall's lot that's next to a gas station. I've had the old battery die on me twice in heavy traffic and had to push it a quarter mile each time. That was bad enough! I couldn't imagine over a mile uphill!

Drink and ride.

When it starts to stutter, do some 'tank sitting' and take care of business.

....or remember that the fuel pump gets hot running all the time and if you keep it submerged in gas, the pump may infact be given a longer span due to less heat.

I usually refill mine at around 120 miles, somewhere between 120 and 130 my light comes on.. I don't think I've been getting a constant above 40 mpg per the gauge computer,,,

Same for me, at about 120 I know I need to start looking for a gas station.

I can get 150 out of the gixxer, but that's 90% commute. It will drop dead around 160 mi.
