PC III USB firmware

I've been trying to update firmware a few times to the Powercommander, but have had no success. I even had Dynojet send me some files that were supposedly more up to date on the process and it still doesn't work. Has anyone here had success with changing the firmware on one of these? I may just send it to DJ and have them do it. Or a shop(?)

I do the 9V battery connection. I do get some response from it, but it doesn't go all the way through for whatever reason. Off to a shop I go...
