found a motorcyle VIN check site

i came across this site that supposedly provides motorcycle history reports but the actual website looks kinda sketchy to me. have any of yall used this site before its called cyclechex.com

My friend actually paid like 20 bucks to check the vin number of this bike that he was trying to buy, and once he put the vin number it showed a error, we also tested it out by putting my vin number in there and it didnt work either, needless to say he didn't get his money back. I'm sure you already know this but you can call a number to find out if the bike is stolen or not or if it has any liens on it, my friend didn't and he wasted his money without asking any of us. But i wouldn't recommend the site.
