I rode in just boots and avoided abrasion, but got a wicked sprain. They were military issue. Many (including myself) recommend buying motorcycle specific foot wear that have ankle support and abrasion resistance. Talk to Patrick at Motorcycles Unlimited or Sunny (at?) and they will help you figure out a good pair. SuzAnne at Motorcycles Unlimited can help you find some cute ones, if you are worried about that.

Oh, and seriously avoid Icon boots. construction, and materials (Personal experience).

+1 the Icon bombshell boots look hott but are a freakin joke. They "might" protect ur ankles but the rest of it is thin, leather.

A piece of free advicefrom an old guy that's been riding since before your parents started dating...

Worry less about style and whether or not they are "cute" and more about protection. It's hard to walk on jacked up feet and when you get older they will be even more jacked up.
Get good quality gear and always wear it. Even just going around the corner to the store.

Oh, it goes without saying... NO HEELS!
lol

+1 the girl who shows up on a bike gets maximum style points anyways, regardless what she is wearing. TBH guys dont look at your shoes anyways.

Go with small heels, a little is good to keep your feet on the pegs but more than that just gets in the way.

Those pics make me want to get new boots btw.

Just between you and me, women don't dress a certain way because what men think. They dress that way because of what other women think.
Generally women don't care much what men think, about anything.

Big +1 to girl riders getting max style points anyway!

Sidi boots are the best. I wore mine on the street and track. for the street, I hust pulled my jeans over the top and they were very comfortable.

Call Motorcycles Unlimited for some.
