valve job

hi .. i have a question how can you tell if your bike need a valve job my bike runs a littlle rough on take off and a little backfire also i had it tune up already thanks for the help.

not a lot to go on.
does it have oil consumption?
have you done a leak down test?
a basic compression test?
what do the plugs look like ?

I did that task today, holy what a difference in performance. I have been putting it off for far too long so today I decided it was time. I took a test ride in the afternoon and opened the throttle like I normally would in a corner.. I spun it up immediately and powerslid the rear. Throttle response is crisp once again feels like a different bike. I borrowed a set of vac gauges but I may pick up my own and do these syncs more often...
