Mexico February 1st-9th.

I want to drive my bike to mexico, probably down to mexico city at least. Anybody have an interest in doing that? I am told it is better to not go alone.

If you have done this and have any tips to share, I'd appreciate it.

Mexico city? Isn't that like a 3 day trip? Ok maybe 2 days but that's alot of stopping on a bike. U got a cruiser, sport or dual pupose bike? Honestly I wouldn't be caught in Mexico with anything but a dual purpose in fear that they might think u got money!!! Good luck and be safe!!

take cash, and be ready pay your way out of stuff. prepare for the worst, probably need to bring a spare tire or two. mexican roads are junk and aren't maintained well at all. once you get past most of the border towns, you'll be ok. and be careful, it's a pretty dangerous trip for a gringo, especially right now with all the drug wars going on along the border.

How many times and for how long have you been in Mexico again?

+1.. Lots of bad stuff going on across the border, but my experience is from west Texas, through El Paso to juarez...not the best time to go, especially white folks.. Not bein racist, just honest. Alot of people have been disappearing, or just been found dead. But then again, drug cartels and crooked cops don't care what color you are if you are an American. And yes.. CASH can get you out of alot of bad situations.

I would not do that trip if I was you. Guys I know from that part of the world are running into problems going home to visit their families. Your timing is off and this maybe a very bad choice to make for you and your family.

Be Careful & bless you

If you have not gone to Mexico, don't repeat what you've heard in the news.
Some roads are even better than in Texas.
Oh and you ride a bike you don't drive it.
