Bandit (re-)build

ok, just another spot to document my rebuild of my bandit.

as i bought it:
3661114333 4f8e6fe052 b

i'm not making to many changes, but am doing a ground-up rebuild including some minor frame work (thanks to Tim [ScooterTrash]), converting to an '06-'07 gsxr 600/750 swing arm and rear wheel setup (machine work courtesy of member Timboslice) and possibly a few other minor mods that are yet to be decided.

Anyway, here's the frame as i was planning:
4106238950 54c0731175 o

And here's what ScooterTrash made happen:
4299870425 f4b35bcc40 o

Close up of the black wrinkle:
4300617804 b2d3edbff3 o

As it sat last night when I went inside:
4299870587 0c48b1f664 o

looking good..but if it dosen't get back together I'm call dibs on the parts..jk Are you keeping the naked look or is that front clip a mount for a fairing.

I'm interested in if you think the bike came apart easy and if it goes back together easily too. The frame has those bolts that remove the bottom half and they look like they make it any easier to pull the motor.

it's almost back together now, i just wasn't able to get the pics last night. i'll try and get them up this evening. just need misc. to get it going (some random bolts for the rear caliper mount, sprokets, etc.), but it will stay completely naked.

Agreed. Nothing like a nice new matching frame/swinger powder job.
