Lojack just recovered a bike this week that was stolen in Galveston. Recovery time was less than 2 hours after it was reported stolen.
Lojacks recovery rate is over 90%, better than any other system on the market.
Lojack should not be viewed as an anti-theft device but as a means of recovering your bike.

As far as theft prevention goes, I really like the Scorpion alarms. I've got them on my bikes, and that, combined with a stout lock / chain, is probably your best defense against it being stolen.

Yo Patrick. with the Lojak will the man be able to "locate" a bike if it is say locked in a metal storage place?
wondering that if u had your bike stolen say at night and didn't know it was gone for several hours and then the crook puts it in one of those store-it places, would the leos still get a signal.

One of the major benefits of Lojack over other systems is that it can locate the vehicle inside of buildings, containers, etc.

Cool. If i had to keep my bike in ANYTHING other than my garage i would definatly look towards the lojack then along with a good alarm.

My only beef with the scorpio is that the alarm is not very loud. I am gonna hook it up so that i can plug my screamer into the alarm when i want and then if activated the beotch will be LOUD and page me.

Just a question, what is a "screamer?" And how do you plug your alarm into it?^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Lojack will prob find your bike but doesn't mean all of its going to be there. I have a scorpio alarm and it works great. Do what Patrick said and you'll have some peace of mind. But nothing beats full coverage.
