I don't listen to you... just trying to help others not listen to your track advise as well. And I will always stick with the thought that when you are at the track you should use track tires.

sportec m3's work great on and off the track. ive got 4k with one track day and toooooo o many wheelies. the tire is starting now to flatten and still has a lil under half tread. Like Patrick said though, for tack use you have to stiffen up the susp. after that they are great. they stick good cold and just get better with heat.

without upgraded suspension, you probably can't out ride any of the street tires.

There's been a BUNCH of articles already posted about this. It wouldn't hurt to do a search sometimes: Clicky
But Anyway, I can give my little words of past experience again.

Keep in mind this is all racetrack stuff, as that's the topic of the thread.

Michelin: I've used the Michelins for endurance racing because they're very durable and handled great. With that said however as Patrick mentioned earlier they really don't give you that "break away" feel when they start going out and unless you've got a little experience you may have an "Oh " moment when they start going out.

Pirelli: I used Pirelli (Supercorsas) before for sprint racing and trackdays and they never let me down. I had them for quite sometime and tried different compounds (super soft, soft, mediums) and each was adequate to the track temps. You could see the tire wear well and I even took a chunk out once and the cords were showin. (I had on of those incidents Rossi had with his front tire) I didn't notice any grip change till I came in from the session and a chunk was gone from my rear tire. So in that sense they've been great On the other side their build is actually a bit soft altogether and they seem to wear our rather quick when you start haulin or go to tehnical tracks such as MSRC.

Bridgestone (BT-002): after the chunk came off my Pirellis I decided to give these a try just to try something different for a change. I put them on and right away I felt better on them and even managed to improve my lap times. It coulda been a mental thing, or just my bike was better setup for the BTs, but I felt good. Ive used them for sprint race as well as trackdays and haven't let me down yet. Ive had Medium and Hard compounds and they've worked great so far. They give you a slight amount of breakaway feel that lets you know when you're reachin limits and they're a bit taller than the Pirellis I think and allow you to dig in more into the turns IMO.

Dunlops: I've only used street Dunlops

In summary all tires have their good and bad and at the end it's up to you to decide which tires you feel most comfortable with.
