Everything is posted...but here you go

"This is what Marc emailed me and is pretty much what was posted on the website.

Yes, we have come under attack by family members that do not agree with our
business or our agreements with the previous owner of the estate. They took
away her control of her estate, then proceeded to break all of her
agreements with us that allow us to operate the Business. We are in a state
of suspended animation at this point in time. Our lawyers are still pursuing
a lease agreement with the new owners of the estate, but if they fail , we
will have no other choice but to declare bankruptcy and liquidate the
company and its assets. It is truly a sad thing since we never saw this
coming and the family that did this to us have not been out to the park in
over ten years. But when big money is involved, there are going to be people
interested in getting their hands on it any way they can conceive of. Yes,
the estate is worth 1.6 mil before the mineral rights are considered, but
only if they sell it. I see that in the future since that is the prize they
are after."

Sad day, my wife won't be happy at all. She loves that place, we went at least once per month.

Ya i didn't really read any of those posts in the link. That's stupid though.
Just another place being taken away from off road enthusiasts.

i think that is a real reason....someone in the estate sees more $$$ drilling on the property vs. collecting $15 a head to ride on the property....it sucks, but SHNF is right up the road...so no big deal, just thought I would pass the word along.

I'm just glad I didn't renew my membership this year, that place has gone downhill since they got rid of Lee and lately they seem to cater to quads. The last time I was there you could drive a truck through loop 2 which was one of their tightest trails, and pull a trailer through loop 8. I have had alot of good times there, and the irony of watching quad riders argue with the side by side, gater, golfcart things about being too wide and slow for the trails is so sweet my teeth hurt. For me it went from being a place I planned to ride to a backup plan when the SHNF is closed. I will miss 7.5, Kennys canyon and chasing cows, but I think Mark was 1 step away from grabbing the Jeep dollar anyways. Cherokee didn't have to close for me to miss it.
