NO Oak Hill for CMRA

Oak Hill is replaced with ECR, how about showing some love for Houston and putting MSRH back on the list. Now we have both TWS (Texas World Speedway) and ECR thrice!

MSRH is off the list for pretty much the same reason Oak Hill is...

for not cooperating with the CMRA.

they didn't just up and decide 'ya know what, **** MSRH'. There's a reason we don't race there.

My uninformed opinion is the CMRA is a proud bunch, and as much as MSRH is a great track and I'd love to race there, it ain't gonna happen anytime soon.

Both MSRH and ECR were asked to explore the feasibility of paving the crossovers so that their tracks could become suitable for CMRA mini endurance racing.

ECR said "Yes!", MSRH did not.

I'm curious about the story on Oakhill. I thought the CMRA had partial ownership or something like that with oakhill???

The owners of Oak Hill Raceway decided to mine the property for coal, it's more than likely gone for good.

That is heartbreaking for me. When my time comes I wanted my ashes ridden around there and thrown into the wind.

I was about to ask that, Harris Hill is awesome. Not sure if it has been considered by the CMRA and what was the deciding factor not to go there.

At this time, HHR is not ready to host a CMRA race weekend.

One of the big hurdles would be parking: Feel free to send me a parking plan for 25 RVs and approximately 200 vehicles at HHR.

Another would be the very strict noise ordinance that is imposed on the track. Many "race" bikes would not pass the dB test.

Figures...I recall the one CMRA race we had there two years ago. It was a logistical nightmare, IMHO, but the CMRA staff pulled it off. With no help from MSRH personnel.

Still, there must be a way. Arbitration!

Sounds about right......

The kids got control & just want a quick buck. Nevermind the fact that renting the track has been paying $ every year for 30+ years. Someone should tell them You can only mine it once.

MSRH does have a 25 foot wide crossover road that allows a smaller track configuration which is essential for the CMRA mini classes.
We would like it as wide as the track which would require an additional 15-20 feet of pavement. I am optimistic that MSRH and the CMRA have a future together and I have been in contact with the MSRH management hoping for common ground and good communication.
