End of an era...

So the insurance co decided to total my cruiser. Patrick suggested an amount and ins was pretty close, and lucky for me slighty higher. My plan had been to sell it anyway and just keep the gixxer. Bittersweet but i'm happy with the outcome overall. No more cruiser for Helios.

Had a small get off on a recent ride. Rolled into and out of a ditch and landed on the right side of the bike. Fenders, tank, headlight, pegs etc got damaged.

In hindsight you're totally right. At the time it really sucked cause that bike felt like one of a kind to me. My ex just said the same thing to me, screw the bike, coulda ended up with a missing limb or something.

Hey Rolan, sorry about the wreck! I was the one that got your contact info on picking up your bike. Sometimes even small accidents can really rack up a repair bill, like in your case. Glad to hear you are alright!

Squanto, man was i surprised when the ins guy (well, Guy) called and said it was gonna be totalled. I thought never in a million. Took me a day to figure out whether i wanted to keep it or let it go. In the end, guess it was for the best. Could really use the money for now. Thanks to all you Motorcycles Unlimited staff by the way bro!

That is definitely my next move. I remember someone posting a while back, a day at the track is cheaper than a speeding ticket. I've learned the hard way that that's pretty fcking true. Like i was telling AJ, not sure if i wanna pick up a cheap tracked out, or stay with just the gix for now. We'll see. Gonna look around and wait a bit.
