Welding for Chrome Crashbars

I've got a cracked Hepco-Becker crashbar. Seems the break is common from what other owners of this bar have told me. Cracks in the same place. (1) I need it welded, and (2) then some of the residual slag grinded down, (3) then re-chromed over the weld (or some suitable paint).

Any shops in the Clear Lake area that do this?

Thanks in advance.

Take it to a muffler shop. Any one should be able to mig or tig it.

Lol! It's really a time issue. I'd feel bad if I didn't hang around and watch you grind it and weld it. With a shop I can just ditch it there and come back in a couple of days.

What subdivision are you in?
