He's looking at a good 6 months to heal on that foot and some surgery with skin grafts. So his healing won't be too speedy unfortunantly.

Looks like he will need muscle flaps as well to replace the lost muscle. They took mine from my stomache to fill in my arm. Modern medicine is well advance. He should be good as new in a few months. My arm was rebuilt at hermann hosp. Good as new. Hope he comes out ok.

Man even if i was plastered and trying to drive, i would still stop to help a wrecked motorcyclist, even if it wasn't my fault. What the **** is wrong with this world, this guy could have easily been killed. I bet the driver is talking about this with his friends and wonders what happened to the rider. I hope he finds out what he did and feels guilty for this.

Good luck man, your leg's gonna be skinny as when you get to walk on it again, lol. I'm slowly thinking steering dampeners should be put on bikes straight from the manufacturer for this very reason. High speed and lots of weight on two wheels = head shake

If you were really drunk, you wouldnt even have realized you hit something as small as a bike. The drunk would have to hit a wall or a semi to even fathom reality, for it to even register, and by then he and whoever was in his way would be dead.

That's why I dont:

a) ride late on friday or saturday nights
b) go anywhere without real motorcycle boots

I've seen some pretty grotesque joe theismann type injuries from not wearing good boots with ankle protection, so I always wear a pair of alpinestars GPS-3's wherever I go.

at least he has teeth protection . Eh i've driven drunk a few times before (i'm sure everyone has once) and i was so focused on being a perfect driver. The dumbest idea ever, that's why i'm glad i'll be on a bike now. If i drink, i'll have basically no choice but to stay put. NOBODY in their right mind would ride a bike drunk, would they? Why not just take off your front wheel and try to wheelie home lol
