Progressive is the only place? Wow... you must have a horrid record, more for the insurance then the bike in one year?

How does a new bike of the type you want solve that insurance problem?

What happens when someone lets you do payments, you don't get insurance, total the bike, and decide not to pay on it anymore... or end up making payments on a bike that is totaled?

For what it is worth, most of the major bike lenders do not require full coverage if you finance less than 10k. Liability insurance is cheap. New 1000rr's are going for cheap $ out the door.

Also, you state 06-09 R1. The 04 through 06 R1's are almost identical, so you could broaden your search and maybe find some good deals on an older R1.

Good luck

No offense but this thread doesnt help your creditability at all...

You say you dont care about insurance on the bike, you havent had it for some time on the bike you're paying your uncle to ride; then you say you want to take over payments on a bike from someone...

And since everytime when you use to ride with us around at HAK etc you had a problem w a car "that cut you off" or we have to stop because you break off of the staggered group to cut a car off and almost get yourself killed(i count two times I thought honest to you were a goner), Im going to venture to say do not ride around me if you cannot pay for my stuff when you hit me.

not helping out the situation. Chris, no one is going to op to make payments especially when you're putting up information like that.

As for your aunt.... you dont own the bike, so if she wants to put restrictions on it, she can. That was obviously another poor choice you made so you either need to keep paying for the bike monthly or cut your losses and walk away from it, count the payments as renting if there wasnt a written contract and they are willing to accept the bike back. Otherwise you have nothing but verbal agreement in court.

It sux, but if you're in the mind set "i gotta have the best now when I cant afford it" either get a job so you can afford it or wait it out.
