Like trdvet said you have two separate parts going on here. The agency that stopped you and the one that issued a warrant. They may or may not be the same. When run by the cops and showing a warrant the cop must call the issuing agency and they verify the warrant (not just on the computer). If they can't then you are on your way. If they do then you go to the pokey. The cops who arrested you have nothing to do with it it's the issuing agency who perhaps screwed up. You could complain maybe get someone in trouble, maybe not, but how much cash do you think it would be worth? It can't be to big of a deal to you because you risked going to jail previously for a year before you took care of it previously. Can you document any actual loss? That you should be able to get. It must be narrow and direct. As far as expunging your record, expunge what? There was no additional charge and as such nothing to expunge. You have no basis for expunging the original offence that you were issued a warrant for and as I said no addition charge. Besides it's a class C. No one runs class C's when the background you except insurance. No one cares! It is and was no different than any ticket regardless of time in jail.

As an aside, if you are really worried about leaving your house go down to the courthouse and get something from them showing that everything has been taken care of.

i always carry my receipts in my car or in my wallet. i maybe clean the wallet once every couple of years sometimes. so my proof is somewhere close. but lets face it, i've had warrants for my arrest many times. for many reasons. even been to jail. but, never been convicted. lol.i say just keep truckin. without any kind of conviction the arrest record dose'nt mean a whole lot.

Richard. Sorry to hear of your misfortune. Hope this gets cleared up and you get reimbursed for the towing/storage.
