For some reason the GoPro does the waviness when you start travelling at higher speeds. I have seen that in all of my videos. They also start getting the smothered wind sound as well.

There are tricks to deal with the sound issues, but I have not heard of anything to correct the "fluttering" at speed. A more solid mount would transfer the vibration of the bike, yet the suction cup or glue mounts tend to allow the wind to "flutter" the image.

use this program, all it does is convert it to play as AVI. NO change in actual footage.
http://sourceforge.net/projects/mp4cam2avi/

then get another program called "virtual dub" this is your editor for compression and quality. its quite good, and free. (any in game video game "'movies" are typically using virtual dub.)

that should be all you need.

the first shot i did with my GOPRO i stuck it under water and pointed upwards at the ice on the surface, and smash the camera into it, until the ice breaks.

pretty cool. no issues. i may upload it later.

did it at ween/squoddys house for festering foot crunch PESTER coming out party.

I do the suction cup mounts but I tape them down to keep them as steady as possible. Looks not so fresh on the bike, but the video comes out better

doh....here is mine.(test) it REALLY isnt anything special bike wise. just playing around with VIRTUAL DUB, on live action for once, rather than machinima videos. slowed video down on to half speed on accident. kinda fiddling with clarity after compression. filters used were minimal of LEVELS, HSV, and GENERAL CONVOLUTION..

meh.

AJ lemme know about VDUB help if you need it. (or want it)

i got 3 other cameras im borrowing from a friend for the "RC plane chases bike..bike chases RCplane" thing. since i cancelled my plane order (out of stock, and didnt tell me about it) and i am too busy to do anything with the helicopter right now........

maybe we should let you have a go with all em cameras on ...?

that would be x2 GOPRO HD units. a flycam-one 2, and two samsung micro handhelds....

I was thinking about puting all my sticky mounts on the bike and shooting one angle at a time. When we stop, shooting another angle. And so forth. At the end making a cool little "ride" video showing a view from the fender facing the front and then facing the forks (to show them working), then from undertail facing the road and then facing the rear shock (to show it working), and having one on the tail to show the rider in action.

Then with all the footage making a really cool highlight film. Would take a while to edit of course.
