I have run many cars, many times on different dynos. Some have been dyno days, some individual test sessions. During dyno days, the shop owner typically has barricades around the area to ensure that spectators do not get too close. Although I was not allowed to be in the driver's seat when they ran the car, I was definitely inside the barricades next to the vehicle.

At test/tune sessions for Miss Nasty, there always seemed to be a whole group that showed up for the runs (even though it would typically be 6-8PM). It is like someone had let the word out. Hmmmm....

As for cost for dyno services, I would guess that it would be in the range of $75 for 2-3 pulls and specific rates for tuning sessions depending upon what type of engine tuning controls. But that is just my guess.
