mini tard parts

I'd like to get into mini's and at 6-2, 215 am looking for advice about bikes and parts. Previous reads indicate that 65's are the way to go but just not sure I will fit. Looking at xr100 instead but want to keep an open mind.

That being said, I have questions. what are the first parts that need to be changed on a 65 or a 100 to make it rideable on the track? where do you get these parts?

what are the next parts to be changed that will improve performance? and where do you get them?

I know this is all over the place but all assistance would be appreciated. TexasRookie

I tarded my xr100 for about $250. I will soon be upgrading the suspension, and adding a better front tire, but for about $250 you can be tarded.

I have seen lots of guys larger than you on 65's. The 65 will have the extra power to haul a big fellow around. For a 65 you will want 12" wheels. Racetech springs, gold valve emmulators, and either a stiffer racetech rear spring or online shock are a must. Then add steel braided lines, ebc pads, and a motomaster flame rotor. You. Can also bore to 72 cc and still be legal.
Talk to Patrick at Motorcycles Unlimited. He has tons of experience with minis and has built several championship bikes.

Not taking anything away from local vendors, might wanna check supermotojunkie classifieds for parts first though.
