It looks like you have sold all of your toys.

I am clearing the garage as well, as it is time to get back to work, and my pleasure time will be more limited (also suggested by the wife). One of the 1000s left last Mon, and another 1000 left on Thurs, with the final 1000 that is going sometime this next week. Then I have the 750 up for sale, and I will be done with garage clean-out. Woo-hoo!!!!

Next toy????

He thought he was gonna get away with a lid, a leather jacket (non-moto) and a pair of Doc's. I told him nah-uh. Sent him over to 2 wheel toyz and he left with a slick lookin' Shoei RF1000, pair of leather Astar gloves, and put a pair of Sidi boots on order. Was gonna get a jacket but the one he wanted ran out of his size but he's gonna figure something out.

Awesome, Gary! I love that color combo, too. Too bad the wheels were polished, as I thought the purple wheels completed the look.

Regarding his initial thoughts on gear... this goes to show that it's really more a matter of ignorance than it is of stupidity. Almost every new rider doesn't realize the risks involved in motorcycling (look at my avatar at 18 ), and we really have no reason to bash anyone, or categorize them as a "squid", for riding with less than ideal gear. All we really need to do is educate them, and hopefully they're smart enough to listen. That's why (imo) being a "squid" is more a matter of how you ride, rather than what you wear (or don't wear).

Anyway, good on him! Must be cool to have a brother you can ride with.

Congrats to you and your bro Gary.

CHern: I bet you can find a good deal on an 09 FZ6 due to the fact they aren't making any for the states and that some dealers have left overs. I love mine. It was $7200 and some change out the door TT&L included.

Hope he's okay.
Probably not the best choice for a first bike.
I know I'd hate to drop that beauty.

, news travels fast...except my brother and I are the only ones who know what happened It's his story to tell, so if you see him riding, you can ask him. If he joins here, then maybe he will share. It made no difference what he was riding to prevent what happened so...don't go makin fools of yourself off of speculation and beliefs about new riders...., I've built up a pretty good experience in my almost 3 yrs(almost 45kmiles and a dozen TD's) and I've been REALLY close to eating on the street 3 times, all of which I didn't have much control over. happens. Not here to start a debate, because this horse always gets beaten to death. Nick, I hope to ride with him soon as I finish some things with my bike, I'll hit you up. BTW, he's fine and has been rackin up the miles lately so I hear...
