Congratulations and welcome to the FZ6 family. Shame you didn't buy the faster Black one, but red works

Maybe see you out on the roads (when it warms up a bit).

*mad face* Why I gotta be "little one"????

Okay, so tomorrow I'm meeting up w/seller to give him the money for the bike (cashier's check), have him sign over the title to me, sign the 130u dps form, and a bill of sale. That's all I need right?

I'll call and set up my insurance tomorrow too.

Also, what can I expect from the DPS motorcycle license test? Is it common sense-ical or do I need to study the DPS manual?

the test was almost 1 to 1 from whats in the back of the book when i took mine several years ago.

Little one because your feet are still wet. and i didn't want to call ya a newbie because your very educated/ prepared compared to the squids of Houston. so Little one= compliment.

o another note. if your getting full coverage W/ Theift + Low Jack. your bike is covered if its stolen. some people on here feel that if your bike is stolen they are not going to baby your bike like you are and they arn't going to want it back all jacked up. but to each his(/her) own i guess.
Patrick Sells and installs Low jack if you want to go that route as well.

I think we have enough FZ6's on here to start a club now.

I had a blue 07 that was totalled this last summer (long story). And liked it enough to buy an 09. I know quite a bit about these bikes, so if you ever have a question feel free to PM me. Houston Yamaha on HWY6 has a guy that can rework the rear shock and lower it an inch if you're interested. The front can easily be lowered as well.

The wife happens to have an 09 FZ6R. Welcome to the FZ6 family.

Isn't MSF now a requirement to get your M class? I thought the class exempted the test, maybe just the road portion?

The road portion is exempted, you still have to take the written test at the DMV.
