I got a little overheated on the way in so I may dial back the amount of gear I am wearing.

Just FYI

Forecasters say Houston should see its coldest weather in more than a decade later this week, with area low temperatures likely to dip into the upper teens in inland areas, and upper 20s along the coast.

No problem as I have a heated jacket from my riding days up north. I wore it in Houston once last winter and was roasting, so I haven't donned it again.

You mentioned "I got a little overheated on the way in so I may dial back the amount of gear I am wearing"

I was pointing out that with it getting colder you may want to leave your gear as it.

Oh, thanks. I may keep all that on thursday, possibly. I still think it was too much for 15 let alone the 30 on the ride in. Now my boots, well I need to figure something out for them. Hate cold feet. At least my steel toe work boots have a lot of thermal mass for when I put my attached sock clad popsicles in (I am hyperbolizing, I will pull over if my toes stop hurting).
