He doesn't have the title. The bank has the title. He can't get the title until he pays off the note....but thank you though!

I'm waiting for the seller to get back to me about what he plans to do. I want the title in my hands and he wont have it until he pays off the note. He probably can't pay off the note until I pay him for the bike. :/

I suppose I can have him log in to the account online and I can pay the balance off, then he can mail the title to me once they mail it to him. I don't know. This is irritating. I can have him sign off on a Bill of Sale and another contract I can draw up with him agreeing to send the title once he receives it since I paid the balance. I can make a copy of his driver's license. This seems like a lot of extra BS. =(

that is true. Happened to me when i sold my bike to a MHner.

have him pay the not as you said and when he gets the title have him mail it to you. ********Make sure you tall them to release the title when paid off. Allot of times the Lien holder will hold the title for a while until directed to release it. TAKES LONGER(happened to me)

I have been thru it recently when i sold my GSXR, exact situation.........It is a PITA for sure. takes a while and sucks

I heard there is a sexy silver ninja 650r with a candy red frame for sale around here.

The bike has ALL documents. Services, purchases (including original purchase), AND the owner has a clear title in hand.

The owner is not afraid to take it to Motorcycles Unlimited either.

I also hear the bike is supaclean.

Either way, steer clear of the bike you have been asking about.

I have seen a few YZF r6 bikes for under 4k, and in relatively decent shape.

Just be patient.

Indeed, take your time when buying a bike ( i mentioned this to you at the Motorcycles Unlimited class). buying a bike is the last thing you wanna rush into purchasing.

i got the contract notarized, if you want bring a lawyer into it. just drop "security deposit" or whatever there asking down then either pay them cash and make sure you get reciepts for EVERYTHING you have paid or just straight up write a check out to the company they are paying.

also you need to go to the title place with the guy too to get it transfered over to your name. Its easier that way. I had this happen to me with a car where i went by myself with the title and it was a pain in the .

There must have been a signature missing from the seller then. I have sold numerous bikes and never had an issue
