I believe that the ZX14 is also. Maybe others on the list. The full article is in the magazine which is still on the stand at Barnes and Noble if you want to check it out

Interesting. The ZX10 is deceiving until you look at the speedometer

And the speedo stops at 189.

lol, if I stick around here long enough I might just glean enough info to skip the article entirely!

If I'm correct, bruningthorp runway (sp?) I know they used this airstrip quite often in the past. If I am correct it is over 2 miles long. That's if they are legally tedting testing them.

Illeglly? Any straight I guess..

you can't really rely on these numbers i mean really if you think about it none of them are probably consistant but only an average. then you could put an inexperienced rider on the fastest bike and put the best rider on the 10th ranking bike and i would put my money on the 10th ranked vs the #1 ranked any day (hopefully he won't blow his motor though lol)
jus my .02

Which bike would achieve the highest "top speed" (straight line only of course lol).

The results are:

1. Kawasaki ZX-14 187.04 MPH
2. MV Agusta 185.56 MPH
3. Suzuki Hayabusa 184.96 MPH
4. Aprilia RSV4 184.00 MPH
5. Kawasaki ZX-10 183.90 MPH
6. Yamaha R1 183.20 MPH
7. Honda CBR1000 181.51 MPH (and smoking blue oil the entire way)
8. KTM 179.56 MPH
9. Ducati 1198 178.37 MPH
10. The 2009 Suzuki Kay-Nine blew its engine, thus there are no results for it.

0-100MPH times:

1. Kawasaki ZX-10 5.94s
2. KTM 6.14
3. Ducati 1198 6.16
4. Yamaha R1 6.31
5. Kawasaki ZX-14 6.46
6. MV Agusta 6.52
7. Suzuki Hayabusa 6.60
8. Honda CBR1000 6.64
9. Aprilia RSV4 6.74
10. Suzuki blown motor.

Interesting. All I get from it is that all of them are fast!

I'm glad you guys are complaining. Cause as the person in charge of this test and the testing procedure I really give a ****.

They are figures and it is what it is. I found them interesting. Seems to me like the liter plus club really does deserve the stigma attached to its owners lol.
