Well, guess I'd have to review - but my memory (albeit not as great as it used to be) is that the powers were a bit softer for shorter-term track grip...

Power 2CT are softer, both compounds

Pilot Power are a single compound, a bit harder than the center of a PP 2CT

right - that's what I was saying - the POWER 2ct's are a bit softer than the ROAD 2ct's....

ROAD 2's are not supposed to equal the track performance of the Power tires.

That's right, and power 2ct's won't match the life of road 2's

Power 2ct is really soft. It hardens up a bit after a bunch of heat cycles. Its still pretty soft though.

I've ridden with the road 2s and did not like them very much. Anytime I pushed the bike it felt like those tires couldn't handle it at all. As far as my power 2cts though, I have been really happy with those. They handled well on the track at my level

Don't think so. Unless I heard it wrong the other day.

The BT003RS's are triple compound though.

Remember when you told me that those tires were made for Gixxers? How they wasn't sticking because they couldn't handle the torque of the Kawi?

Seems it depends on how much you will push a road tire at track-efforts.....?

The BT016 front is dual compound. The 140, 150 & 160 rears are dual compound. The 180 & 190 rears are triple compound.

The BT002RS front is dual compound & all of the rears are single compound.

The BT003RS fronts are dual compound and the 140, 150 & 160 rears are triple compound. While the 180 & 190 rears are dual compound.

I'll take your Rear Tire.

On that note. I hated my 2CT's at the track. They seemed really finicky and I could never dial in the right temp or PSI on the tire. But thats just me and I suck at riding

My 2cts have been great so far. They warmed up quickly and stuck good =P
Guess it really differs from bike/rider.
