bike keeps going into neutral?

when i shift at high rpms my bike goes into neutral sometimes, sometimes 3rd going into 4th and sometimes 4th going into 5th. are 3rd and 4th gears going out? or what is? syncronizers? i dont know anything about transmissions so idk...

its called a false neutral, your ****ed up, take your bike to a reputable shop and have them look at your transmission.

My 01 R6 had a similar issue, it ticked a bit when I bought it (but I got a good deal on it) and being my first bike I am sure I helped it along but eventually 2nd gear would pop into neutral at WOT, estimate for repair was hundreds of dollars, even with the damage, I got more out of it trading it in towards a new purchase, then trying to repair it.

parts, not a whole lot, the labor is whats killer. i don't remember the quote i got years ago, but it was several hundred dollars.

yeah but i dont drag race it or anything, i really noticed it today when i was shifting into 5th and bam it went into neutral with a loud noise, i thought my chain came off at first

dang, yeah when i bought it the guy had it idled up high and when i got home i idled it down and could here a clicking noise then i start noticing its going into neutral when i shift sometimes.

i had some shift forks replaced along with a motor rebuild on a busa

if they're splitting the cases might as well go thru the whole thing
