auto zone battery checks??

so after 2 yrs of daily riding my 99 zx6r i think its time for a new battery. yeasterday it wouldnt start and i had to jump it from a car.. started right up, then i took the batery to auto zone to test it. there all idiots by the way, when i first walked in there talking about ohh that battery is sooo tiny.. oook lol
now my question is how reliable are those test bc its still acting like the battery is to weak to start it. time for a new battery??? or something else is wrong

Whenever I bring a battery to autozone to test it, they have to charge it all the way up before they will put it on the tester. Did they do that? Usually it takes about an hour on their charger.

Not if you don't run the bike for a while and let the battery charge back up.

Sounds to me like your battery is no bueno. Next time you can't get it started you could try push starting it btw, if you don't have cables.

When the bat is dead the charging system on the bike cant keep up. You need to charge the battery with a real charger. Jumping it doesnt charge it either. Go spend 20 $ at Wal Mart and get a charger.

Or just go get a new battery. We got a new battery for my buddies R6 at walmart for less than $30.

FWIW, most small batteries today are AGM (Absorbed Glass Matt)
and can only be properly tested with a capacitance battery tester.

If they are testing it with a load based tester the results can be wrong
either way...
