come on guys, it's a global economy now. Foreign competition makes America strong. just go with what you like.

If American cars got up to the quality of foreign cars then i would buy them.

my grandparents buy all American products from crayons to refrigerators, but they both buy Lexus because they are just plain nice!

The PT loser not a PT cruiser...lol
I had one for a rental vehicle (fully loaded) and it was a POS. You're right about it not being able to get up hills and such. Absolutely no power. I had my foot in it the whole time I drove it. I feel for you R6MILF.

Perhaps.. I took the thing off-roading and that was kinda fun. I thought I was gonna roll it down the mountain side.

Here it is in the Laguna Seca 'parking lot'. The pic doesn't do any justice to the steepness of the mountain.. lol

It all boils down to the all mighty dollar. America car makers could produce great cars if they wanted to. But their profit margin would be much less if they did. Soo they cut corners on materials and workmanship to be price competitive with japanese manufacturers.

Chrysler is no longer American... Am I the only one who noticed that Daimler is a German company?

i htink some has to do with rebates. rebates hurt the resale value and the value of the car so much it's unbelievable.
