Nice. I have come across quite a few cool cops in my day. Some that let me go with a warning when I was speeding a bit, some that didn't hual my straight to jail when I was REALLY speeding. Then I have met some that were just straight up . There is quite a mix, but the good ones are out there.

He let you off cause you took the course with us!

Probably a combination of things. I've found that most of them are surprised that I have a valid license and insurance. Seems to go a long way. I'm just lucky I guess. I have as of yet to find one that I thought was a complete jerkoff.

Congrats!

dont wanna jinx myself, but nearly every cop i've been pulled over by has been cool. i have a squeaky clean record, and i always show them respect, but other than that, idk!!

I think he was really just checking to see if I was M-endorsed/insured/registered/inspected more than anything.

Hi Cody

No thanks on the bar...I actually like the height/width of the stock bar because its comfortable for those long trips I plan on taking with this bike. But thanks for the offer and the exhaust is just a slipon. All aftermarket stuff is just cosmetic and I don't want to do anything else to this bike

I have been riding for about 20 years. Been pulled over many a time doing things I should not have been doing. Not once in all that time have I received a ticket on my bike.

All this time I thought it was because I was white. Maybe there are some good ones out there.

Seriously though, I have a few friends that I have known since high school that went in to police work being it Constable, Sheriff or HPD. All of whom are salt of the earth genuinely good people. They are out there.

I always hear about these cool cops but have yet to be pulled over by one. The ticket I got when I was in Ky (one I had forgotten about) the cop was very mellow, just gave the facts, handed me my ticket and told us to be safe and slow down. Then I got pulled over again in Texarkana and the guy was like a fcking drill sergeant. He was interrogating me and my passenger *seperately* and was yelling at me to where his veins were popping out of his head.

Hard to tell what the deciding factor in a stop is. Might just be their mood, their general attittude, or you might be right, it might be the way you look, act and talk.

Glad you didnt get a ticket! They suck.

i was on 521 today on the long straight right before cr42, which there are two pastureson either side so good place too go higher speeds and yes i took advantage of it and then i came up on the car infront of me really hot and all of the sudden noticed it was a state trooper...i was like O !!! brake hard and slow to the speed limit and at a respectable distance of the Trooper.. all i could think is that he's gonna pull off to the side and wait for me to pass so he could pull me over...sitting behind him waiting for him to do something and it happens he pulls off on to the shoulder and no im thinking this sucks he is definately gonna pull me over now.. but for some reason decided not to thank goodness... had it been any other cop i mor than likely would've have been pulled over for coming up on him so fast he didn't know where i came from... but eh w/e

I've been pulled over 4 times on the bike, and all of them were because of speeding... one was speeding + passing on the single lane HOV, but to this date I have never gotten a ticket on the bike.
I think your demeanor has a lot to do with the outcome of a traffic stop. I always answer respectfully, the moment I see the lights behind me, I immediately give the cop a thumps up and turn on my blinker while decreasing speed and when they ask for my DL and insurance, I give them my CHL so they know I'm also conceal carrying.
The CHL has gotten me out of a few tickets so that might have something to do with it as well.

It was the Ninja 650r.

Everyone complains about hole cops. I have yet to meet any. The only cops that acted like to me were acting that way because of what I had done.

I am sure the nasty ones exist though, and we all have bad days.

Wait for pyrobug to come around and start talkin bout what the cop "should have" done.
