Talking Motorcycles Unlimited Basic Maintenance Class Feeler for 1/2/10 ??

As promised! It's that time again!

I've been involved with MH ever since it's inception, when Chris invited me over to post and help with tech questions etc.

I would like to take it a step further.

We see bikes daily at the shop that are in desperate need of basic maintenance.
Minor things that can easily be done by their owners but aren't, and then do turn into something major.

Most of the time it's because the owner isn't aware of what it is or how to do it.

So here's what I'm going to do;

Once a month at 9:30 a.m., we will be having a free Basic Bike Maintenance Workshop.

I will choose one participants bike, we will put it on a lift and go over all of the basic maintenance items that need to be done, and how to do them.

At the same time we will answer any basic maintenance questions you may have.

Because I would like everyone attending to be able to see everything, I'm limiting the workshop to 10-14 attendees each time.

The next one will be tentatively Saturday January 2th, at 9:30 a.m..

If the weather is too bad to ride, no worries, I'll put one of my bikes up.

Hope to see you all there!

Right now I'm just checking to see how many people are interested / will be available for the Saturday after New Years, January 2nd.

Please post up on this thread if you're planning to attending.

Your bike is too complicated . Mine only has 2 spark plugs and 2/3 less displacement as yours does Not to mention it's 1980's technology...

An hour give or take depending on questions and class participation.

8. Rugby - Also Patrick can you post up your holiday hours for before and after Christmas. I for one need an oil change and once over, and since many MH'ers have vacation it would be good time to get your bike in anyways!

Having been to one of Patrick's classes I'd like to urge everyone to take part when scheduling allows. It doesn't matter if you've wrenched on your own bikes for thirty years or never will there's info to be updated on or just to be made aware of.

These classes are rare anywhere in the world, my hat's off to Patrick!
